Jordan Love Week 12 grade against the 49ers.

-First, let's be honest. This was Josh Jacobs' week. He was the focal point of the offense and it worked out to a tune of 106 yards and 3 touchdowns as Green Bay outrushed the 9ers 44-169.

-All that said still plenty of notes on Love, seemed like the plan was to attack SF with the ground game and short routes, of Loves 28 graded plays only 7 saw a drop back TTT longer than 3 seconds.

-Love's "fade away" throw is effecting his accuracy at times, for example his throw to Josh Jacobs on their 2nd drive, turned a very completable wheel route into an bad miss. And his deep throw to Watson near the end of the half that nearly turned into an interception.

-Something similar I've pick up (I'm honestly I'm not sure if it's been discussed here, so apologies if it has) is sometimes he will throw with a wide "leg swing" which seems to deviate from his normal throwing motion. It can at times also effect the zip and accuracy of his passes. Some examples of this are throws #1, #2, #3, #4, #6, #11, #15.

-But when Jordan Love is properly driving the ball with good footwork and a more "compact" back leg swing, he has one of the best arms in the league. His completion to Doubs on 3rd and 11 for 29 in the second Quarter is a fantastic example of this. Accurate, on time ball on an anticipation route. Cannot walk the ball to Doubs and be more accurate. I cannot stress this enough, even though I only grade a few players, I watch a lot of all 22 and Jordan Love is easily a top 5 arm in the league when everything lines up. I know Jay Cutler got a lot of flack for his turnovers but his arm talent was near the best in the league. I see a lot of parallel's between the two.

-2 turnover worthy throws on the day, both deep throws to Watson, seemed like they could not get on the same page as they were in Chicago, highlighted by a big drop by Watson (Elite graded throw). That said, no official INT on the day, and to be fair his turnover worthy (per PFF) throw to actual turnover % had been at 100% until this week, so he was long overdue some luck there.

-Overall a 1.25 game score which scores as an "average" start, which is completely fine when your run game is killing it. We did still see 3 total "big time throws" (Elite and Great throws) despite the focus on the run game, so even in a dialed back game, Love can sling it.
