C. J. Stroud Week 13 grade against the Jaguars.
-Game score total of 3.00 which charts as a "Good" start by my grading scale. -Only 1 poor throw on the day (which also happen to be turnover worthy), which was the attempted screen to Mixon, which was read well by the defense, and nearly picked at the balls high point/then again after the deflection.
-OL was a bit better this week, bucking the trend of +40% Pressure rate of the last 2 weeks, one of my concerns as how Houston would handle a good pass rush, both sacks registered by the Jaguars were on Stroud. So good on the line, bad on Stroud, haha.
-Stroud limited mistakes, and potential mistakes. A common theme I've been pumping is that two "average" halves can make a "good" game, and this is evidence directly to that.
-Under Center % was the highest for any game I've graded thus far (25 total games) at 34.88% evidence of Slowik perhaps trying to lean into play action a bit more.
-C. J. Stroud and Nico Collins make a hell of a duo, I said it last week, it's pretty clear C. J. is a different level of understand/trust with Nico. 8rec/11tar and 119yards from the duo. Honestly need to see 11+ target to Nico here on out.
