The Cleveland Browns travel to the motor city fresh off their 13-10 upset of the Green Bay Packers. After and impressive 38-30 road win against the Ravens, Jared Goff and the Lions were ready to take on the impressive Browns front 4, and learning from the struggles the Packers had, Goff was kept clean, as the Lions focused on getting the ball out his hand early and often.

Breakdown
The message was loud and clear from the Lions watching the tape from week 3: We're not letting the Browns front 4 beat us, without changing too much of who were are. Goff's time to throw was a mere 2.21s, over half a second faster than his season average. That in turn say a pressure rate of jus 23.33% on the afternoon, as Goff was kept clean. (Worth noting this is his 3rd game in a row not getting sacked.)
The stat sheet could have looked better, but Jameson Williams had other plans for the week. Dropping a perfectly placed deep shot in the first half, which was graded "Elite", and a potential touchdown on a nicely lofted touch pass in the 3rd Quarter. Tough game for Jamo.
ARSB was as reliable as ever though, hauling in 7 passes for 70 yards and another 2 touchdowns, giving him a league leading 6 on the season.
Goff was, however, uncharacteristically inaccurate on the day, completing under 60% of his throws, including a streak of 3 throws that graded "Poor" for flat out inaccuracy, and the 3rd being the lone pick on the day. A bad decision to throw into bracket coverage deep, and a terribly underthrown ball to boot.
On the flip side, he did nearly double his Big Play rate, with 10.0% on the afternoon. The drop deep to Jamo, a fantastic throw over the seam to Sam LaPorta for 27, and a seed to ARSB on the 2nd drive on 3rd down that showcased Goff's pocket awareness and accuracy on the move.
Overall he turned in a 1.95/-2.05/-0.10, a classic tale of two halves. Which makes sense in a way. Goff was not asked to throw much in the 2nd half due to the Lions defense clamping the Browns offense, therefor he did not have much a chance to creative positives to outweigh the negatives. Still, this charts as a run of the mill "Average" game, and a game you can expect to win most of the times if your QB is delivering it. Lions travel to the Bengals next week, a team that has looked completely lost without Joe Burrow.
