And just like that we are 40 games into the 2026 season, and so far I'm really liking the way the season is heading. Despite some issues with injuries, and lengthy injuries at that, the Pirates have been one of the best teams in the MLB to start the season, despite the in game prediction of the Pirates finishing with a 66-96 record. As always, here's the Team Report through 40 games. Basics The Pirates, Reds and Cubs have all played good baseball to start the season, with the

The 2025 Post Season has come and gone, the Pirates played host the the New York Mets. The teams traded blow out wins, with the Mets winning game 1, 7-2 and the Pirates winning game 2, 12-2. It all came down to a game 3, the Mets jumped out a 4-1 lead and held that lead until the 8th, where the Pirates struck for 2 runs. Cue the bottom of the 9th, the Pirate get 2 runners on 2nd and 3rd with two outs. With LHP A. J. Minter pitching, Pirates legend Andrew McCutchen was called

The end of the regular season has drawn upon us and year 1 under my guidance has seen a lot of change within the organization. So before I dig in, a little background. My father was born in Latrobe, PA. A little town about an hour Southeast of Pittsburgh. So naturally he grew up being a Steelers and Pirates fan. He would tell me stories of Roberto Clemente, a man, in his eyes, the best to ever play the game. And it would be crazy to argue that AT LEAST he was one of the best to ever do it. .317/.359/.475/.834, 3000 hits, 240 HR and 1305 RBI, and a whooping 94.9 career WAR. And that's not even touchi

I will sometimes get questions both what my process is when it comes to grading, and how I determine what to grade a specific play (Good, Bad, Poor, Etc.) I'm putting all that info here so public eyes can see and better understand my process. The Grading Process I actually have a Tweet covering this with a video, please see below! How Do I Grade These Plays? Well, a lot goes into that. Basic Guidelines: Try to be as “fairly” unforgiving as possible, when it comes to review it
